A man has been arrested by Gardaí investigating the theft and resale of high end motor vehicles in Co Monaghan. As part of ongoing investigations targeting organised criminal groups involved in the theft and resale of high end motor vehicles, an operation was conducted by SMVIU attached to the Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation yesterday - Wednesday the 28th of June.
In the course of the operation a stolen van bearing false registration plates was recovered and a one man aged in his 30s was arrested. He is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda Station in County Monaghan.
Investigations are ongoing.
