A man has been charged in relation to an alleged public order incident that occurred in Bailieboro on Sunday evening.
The incident occurred at a location on the main street of the town late on Sunday evening the 28th of June.
It's understood Gardai were called to a public order incident at a business establishment which later transpired into a confrontation at a residential premises.
During the incident, Gardai arrested the individual after a machete was brandished towards the members of An Garda Siochana.
He remained in custody until he appeared before a special District court sitting on Monday morning in Dublin and a number of bail applications were applied.
Gardai say investigations are continuing at this time.
