A man in his 70s has died following a "workplace accident" in the Iniskeen area of County Louth on the Monaghan border yesterday evening.
Gardaí confirmed they attended the scene of the accident, which, happened in a yard at around 5:45pm. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Health and Safety Authority also attended the scene and have said they are investigating the circumstances surrounding what they are calling a "work-related fatality".
