'A second man was arrested this morning'

A 29-year-old man arrested by the PSNI in connection with the murder of  Shane Whitla in Lurgan has been released on bail.

The PSNI says the move is to "allow for further enquiries".  The investigation continues and anyone with any information is asked to contact the PSNI or Crimestoppers.

Earlier this morning, detectives investigating Mr Whitla's death arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of murder.

He is being questioned at Musgrave Serious Crime Suite.

Meanwhile, 39-year-old Mr Whitla was found dead in Lurgan last Thursday.  The father-of-four was shot a number of times, including once in the back.
