A man convicted of murdering an Irish soldier in Lebanon has been sentenced to death.
24 year old Private Sean Rooney died in December 2022 when a UN convoy he was travelling in came under attack.
While the main suspect was given a life term a number of co-accused received lesser penalties.
Taoiseach Michéal Martin says the sentences handed down to some of those convicted of the killing of Seán Rooney are too lenient.
