The manager of Tearmann says only safe homes will lead to safe communities.
Siobhan McKenna who is over the domestic violence service in the region says that men must look at the role they play in ensuring women’s safety in everyday life and call out unacceptable behavior.
She says that in many cases there is inequality in the private environment and this translate to public life, therefore teaching boys how to respect women in the home is the first step.
