The latest figures released by Monaghan County Council indicate that it has 125 properties entered onto the Derelict Site Register.
That's according to Monaghan County Council's Chief Executive Management Report for December 2025.
The figures were recorded by the council to the end of November 2025.
The TRO section has given a commitment to property owners who engage and conduct substantial works.
It has also submitted plans to make property non derelict, so that the property would be re-inspected and removed from the register.
According to Monaghan County Council, potentially up to 20 properties could be removed by year end due to substantial works carried out.
The Council has acquired 13 properties through the derelict sites act.
Three of the properties have been moved to the housing section, while another one was moved to the Capital Projects or Housing Section.
One property was sold to a private developer, and one property moved to the Clones / Ballybay MD.
Finally, seven properties are at a sale agreed stage, to be completed early in 2026.
