Gareth Conlon has been announced as one of five social entrepreneurs to win a place on the prestigious 2025 Impact Programme and Ideas Academy.
The Monaghan man is one of Ireland's newest wave of changemakers when it comes to tackling environmental challenges.
Monaghan native, Gareth Conlon the founder of Síolta Chroí has been named as one of these changemakers who are tackling some of Ireland's most pressing social and environmental challenges. Each organisation will receive a share of €100,000 in direct, unrestricted funding alongside €100,000-€150,000 worth of pro-bono supports, helping them to scale their impact and drive lasting social change.
The Impact Programme is SEI's nine-month accelerator designed to help social entrepreneurs strengthen their leadership, build organisational capacity, and identify their route to scale for long-term impact. One of the impact programme 2025 awardees is Gareth Conlon, founder of Síolta Chroí - An environmental cooperative restoring Ireland's ecosystems through regenerative agriculture training for farmers, fostering sustainable food systems and community resilience.
Gareth says "Síolta Chroí are privileged and very excited to be taking part in this year's impact programme, adding that their focus is on restoring the ecosystems of Ireland, which will be massively supported by the support of Social Entrepreneurs Ireland.
