Monaghan mother pleads for meeting with Justice minister

Zayn Mohamed, aged 5, and his three-year-old brother Kareem, were born in Ireland.

A Monaghan mother is pleading for a meeting with Justice minister Helen McEntee to help get her children back.

Monaghan native, Mandy Kelly says it's over two years since she last saw her children five year old Zayn and three year old Kareem.

The pair were abducted by their Egyptian father after he locked Mandy in a room and drove off in a car whilst on holiday in Cairo in 2022. Zayn Mohamed, aged 5, and his three-year-old brother Kareem, were born in Ireland.The mother of two has not seen or heard from her children since.

Mandy handed a letter to the Taoiseach last week when he visited Monaghan Town to call for the government assist her with the safe return of her children The Monaghan mum made this appeal earlier on the wider view programme.
