Co Monaghan teenagers are being encouraged to create a "time machine" that will become part of an exciting digital exhibition.

The Community Time Machine project was developed by the Neighbourhood Network, in partnership with Creative Ireland.

It has since been funded by several local authorities, including Monaghan County Council, and the final pieces will be exhibited online in September.

It connects young people with senior citizens from their area and participants are given a set of questions to use as prompts for their interview.

The teenagers involved are then invited to come up with a creative response to the conversation, which could include painting, baking a cake, or writing a poem.

Submissions close this Friday and more information on the project can be found on the Street Feast Facebook page.
