Monaghan Town will celebrate its traditional Christmas light switch this Sunday from 4-6pm.
Locals from across the Farney county will gather together to celebrate the official start to Christmas and all things festive.
Brian Clerkin is the PRO of the Monaghan Town Christmas Light Committee.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Brian said he is "looking forward" to a great weekend, adding that this occasion marks the start of the festive period every year and the "Christmas buzz" will continue on from there.
Brian said Sunday will be a day of "fun" for all of the family to enjoy, with plenty of vendors and many different experiences to offer on the day:
