The mother of a 23 year old woman who was found dead in Monaghan over two years ago says her family has been failed by the state,
Julieanne Lynch says not only has her family been failed but so has her daughter Kelly.
Gardai said this week they are appealing to anyone with direct information on the death of Kelly Lynch to contact them.
It follows the confirmation on Tuesday on Northern Sound by her mother Juileanne that she has recieved important information in recent weeks.
She said the problem was that these people are fearful in Monaghan to go to the Gardai.
An Garda Síochána say the investigation into the death of Ms. Lynch remains open and continues to be carried out by an investigation team based at Monaghan Garda Station.
Kelly Lynch was discovered in the Ulster Canal in Monaghan town on St Patrick's Day 2024.
Julieanne says there is important information out there that needs to be shared with Gardai.
