A motorist failed a roadside drug test yesterday in Carrickmacross. The detection was made as a result of a Gardaí checkpoint which was in operation just outside of the town.
The motorist in question failed the roadside drug test after testing positive for cannabis. The driver was arrested and blood samples were taken at Carrickmacross Garda Station.
According to local Gardaí, the driver now faces a possible court appearance and disqualification.
