Motorists asked to avoid Derrycreevy bridge

Gardaí in Castleblayney are appealing to motorists to avoid the Derrycreevy bridge area due to an ongoing incident.

In a statement issued to Northern Sound, a spokesperson from Castleblayney Garda Station confirmed that the bridge located on the Castleblayney to Keady road remains closed at this time.

The spokesperson added that the incident which “is not” a road traffic collision is ongoing and that diversions are in place for alternative routes.
