A Monaghan business woman has organised a Movember event called Mo's Bros in aid of Crocus. Maire Mc Quaid from Monaghan Town was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in May of this year.
The 35-year-old well-known woman has organised the event to raise much needed funds for cancer charity Crocus Monaghan. Maire known locally as Mo is also a hairdresser in Monaghan town.
Mo says the diagnosis is another chapter in her life and when the book is written, it will be a great read. "I was diagnosed with breast cancer on the 4th of May this year.
"This is a chapter in the life of Mo but it's only a chapter and it'll be well worth the read when it is done. My family actually came to me about having a night in aid of Crocus because I have been using it myself.
"The service that Crocus provides is absolutely fantastic," added Mo.
