The N3 at Drumcrauve in Cavan has reopened tonight following a fatal overnight collision. A man in his 20s died as a result of the traffic collision which occurred in the early hours of this morning. The incident occurred shortly after 3 am between a truck and a car this morning.
The driver of the vehicle, a woman aged in her 20s, was taken to Cavan General Hospital for treatment. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. No other injuries have been reported.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
