A new Local Link bus route connecting Shercock to Carrickmacross has been confirmed.
The new route will provide 11 daily trips to Dundalk from both Shercock and Carrickmacross.
Welcoming this improvement to local link services, local TD Deputy Brendan Smith says he "is very conscious of the need to connect people and places in rural as well as urban areas, with accessible, integrated, and sustainable public transport.

Deputy Smith says enhanced routes on our public transport network in addition to the fare reductions introduced by Government, make it easier for people to be able to access and choose public.
He added that this announcement has a far-reaching benefit for households, communities and businesses across Cavan, Monaghan and Louth.
