New Chairperson of local Ógra Sinn Fein says group has strong relationship with party TDs

The new chairperson of a local Ogra Sinn Fein group says they've a strong relationship with senior politicians in the party.

Oisin McConnon from Carrickmacross was recently elected chair of the youth branch in Monaghan.

Other youth divisions of political parties have previously highlighted a lack of communication higher up the ranks, or a disconnect between the elected reps and younger members.

However, Oisin says local Sinn Fein TDs Pauline Tully and Matt Carthy are always there to lend support.
