New Icelandic youth programme introduced in Cavan and Monaghan

A new Icelandic youth programme is being introduced in Cavan and Monaghan.

Planet Youth was introduced in the West of Ireland in 2018 and following its success it is now being introduced to Cavan and Monaghan in collaboration with the RCSI.

This five-year pilot programme will see young people across secondary schools and youth reach programmes in the region surveyed on health, relationships, environment and wellbeing.

Almost 2,000 students will participate and the results will produce both county and school reports, in both counties.

These will then be presented to stakeholders to give young people a voice in policy making.
