A new principal for a Monaghan secondary school has been appointed.
Annette Ni Thuathail, who has been working as the deputy principal of Coláiste Oiriall will take up the new role at the start of the new school year. Annette is orignally from Ballincollig, Co.Cork and taught in Glanmire Community College before moving to Monaghan. She has six County, four Provincial and two All-Ireland senior club medals in Ladies Football with her adopted club, Donaghmoyne. She played basketball for Cootehill before moving to Muckno Lakers in Castleblayney and has been a member of successive winning teams in the Basketball Ireland North East League.
Annette will take up the role as the current principal, Brendan Ó Dufaigh retires.
