Monaghan County Council are advising people the do not swim not notice issued for Emy Lough has now been lifted.
The results of repeat bathing water samples taken at Emy Lough and Gortnawinny Lough on the 17th of July 2024 are within acceptable limits.
Monaghan County Council have taken down the advice not to swim notices at both Emy Lough and Gortnawinny Lough. The do not swim notice that was issued followed a poor water quality test result at the lake earlier this month.
