A third Stormont executive meeting in three days broke up last night without consensus.

Ministers will resume discussions later with only hours to go until the measures lapse, with many businesses in the dark on whether they will be able to open tomorrow.

It's understood the DUP vetoed a proposal from health minister Robin Swann to extend the circuit-break measures by one week.
