The North's Deputy First Minister says she hopes animal-based checks will resume at two ports today, after threats against staff.

Some checks at Larne and Belfast have been halted after graffiti opposing the Irish Sea border was painted in Loyalist areas.

But the PSNI says it has no evidence that paramilitary groups were involved.

Michelle O'Neill and First Minister Arlene Foster will hold talks with the European Commission and the British government today.

The Sinn Féin politician says she's confident of a breakthrough.
