Monaghan Roads Policing Unit in the Carrickmacross District arrested a driver on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant.
Local Gardai made a number of detections yesterday while on patrol.
They also seized 2 vehicles under section 41 of the Road Traffic Act, for no insurance.

Court appearances will now follow after these detections. Gardai also issued Fixed Charged Penalty Notices for no NCT and no tax.
