Over 20 targets are being investigated by the Criminal Assets Bureau across the Northern Sound region. The data was revealed in a document recently compiled by the CAB. The Criminal Assets Bureau, which revealed that they have been investigating 1,450 targets across the country since May 2023. A target for CAB may be an individual, a family or a crime network involving many people.
The range of crimes being investigated include murderous feuds, breaches of Revenue regulations, or the overpayment of Social Protection. The Cavan/Monaghan area holds a total of 21 searches being conducted by CAB since last May. Nationally, Dublin Metropolitan Region West is the area with the highest number of targets, at a total of 301.
