Over 22,000 euro has been raised so far as part of the Shannonside Northern Sound ‘Let’s Do it for Hospice- Everybody has a link to Cancer’ campaign.
The fundraising and awareness drive, which was launched on Monday, runs up until September 4th and aims to raise money for Northwest Hospice, County Longford Hospice Homecare, St Christopher’s Hospice Home Care in Cavan and Monaghan and Roscommon Mayo Hospice.
Jim Lawlor a representative from St.Christopher’s in Cavan says the money would go towards the upgrading of their services to a level 3 consultant led facility.
Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound Jim said the plans will see 15 more beds introduced as well as new rooms for residents and families:
