Monaghan has increased the number of buildings it will light up this year.

People affected by pregnancy or infant loss are invited to "remember their little angel" at an event in Carrickmacross this evening.

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month and there is a global "Wave of Light" at 7pm tonight where buildings landmarks are lit in blue and pink to mark the event.

It's hoped that this can spark conversations about baby loss and give bereaved parents and families an opportunity to talk about their babies.
