Planning has been approved for a recording studio in Monaghan town.
MoneyCrowd Project 02 applied to change the use of a disused kitchen manufacturing workshop into an audio-visual recording facility.
The development at Tirkeenan consists of the renovation and alterations to the existing site layout and additional car parking.

The proposed studio will allow for recording music, but also podcasts and voice recordings.
The application said there's a strong music community in the town however there's no publicly accessible recording facilities.
Monaghan County Council approved permissions subject to conditions.
