Postponing indoor dining could have a catastrophic impact on businesses

Ireland is now the only country in Europe with no indoor dining open, with the exception of hotels.

The Restaurants Association says postponing the return of indoor dining will have a catastrophic impact on many businesses.

It's reported the government is considering a two-week delay to the planned easing of hospitality restrictions on July 5th.

Ministers are concerned about the Delta variant - and hope the delay would allow more people to be fully vaccinated.

Restaurants Association CEO Adrian Cummins says any change to the reopening plans would be a big blow.
