A local woman has said that people will still be "suffering" whenever the protests end.
Blockades were lifted at locations in both Cavan and Monaghan this morning, however rolling and go-slow protests continued.
One local woman believes that the cost of living in Ireland has become "a joke".
Speaking to Northern Sound at a protest on the N2 yesterday, she claimed that there would be celebrations whenever the protest ended.
However, she feels that the issues underlining the protest will continue.
She said: "They're like, 'haha', on television this morning. 'It's all over, lets have the party now. Everyone can go to work, go to their jobs'. We're still going to be suffering tomorrow.
"We have to go out and fill our cars, vans, lorries tractors. The whole cost of living- a joke," she added.
