PSNI appeal for information following theft on Fermanagh/Cavan border

Communities in the Fermanagh/Cavan border region have been urged to be on the lookout for a man who stole a large sum of money from a well-known family business this afternoon.

In a statement to Northern Sound, PSNI revealed that they are now appealing for witnesses and information following the burglary which occurred on the Swanlinbar Road this afternoon, Thursday June 30th.

Inspector Sterling said: “At approximately 1.20pm a man believed to be in his 30’s, entered a business premises and subsequently stole a white plastic bag from the business, which was close to the till, and contained a substantial sum of money.

“The suspect who is described as being 5’6’’ in height, with dark short hair, was wearing a dark coloured long coat, dark coloured denim jeans, dark coloured shoes with a dark beard. He made off from the scene in a silver coloured Jaguar."

Anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity or could have dash-cam footage which can assist the investigation is asked to contact 101 quoting reference number 914 30/06/22.
