Now, it seems to be rain rain and more rain today but that isn't dampening the spirts of Monaghan people across the region today ahead of the big game tomorrow.

Heavy downpours and spot flooding are being experienced today across the country.

A nationwide status yellow warning that was issued by Met Éireann will run until seven o'clock this evening.

The forecast for tomorrow is looking like some showers in the city and it will remain cloudy, that’s according to Met Eireann's Gerry Murphy who added it will be drier across Monaghan in the afternoon and evening tomorrow.

Monaghan man and RTE weather forecaster Gerry Murphy says there will be showers in Dublin tomorrow around the time of the all-Ireland semi-final game but nothing like what we are experiencing today.

With the risk of showers the Magheracloone native is recommending supporters heading for GAA HQ to bring along the raincoat to keep the white and blue jerseys dry
