Region gears up for 12th of July parades

An estimated 500,000 people are expected to participate or spectate in the 12th of July parades across the north today. Up to 600 marching bands, will step out at the various locations commemorating the 333rd anniversary of the Battle of the Boyne.

This year, 19 venues in Northern Ireland will be playing host to processions to mark the occasion. Some of the main demonstrations are scheduled for Belfast, Lurgan and Enniskillen.
