A renewable energy investor has announced plans to buy a large stake of a Cavan windfarm.
Greencoat Renewables will acquire 50 per cent of the 10 turbine Carrickallen windfarm near Mountain Lodge.
The remaining part of the 20.5 megawatt windfarm will continue to be owned by Galetech Group, the Irish wind energy developer.

The acquisition brings Greencoat Renewables' portfolio of operational wind assets to an aggregate capacity of 538 megawatts.
