There were no very heavily littered sites in Cavan Town according to this week's Ibal report.
Paul Lynch from Cavan Tidy Towns described the result as positive for the town.
He says the report highlights that vapes and takeaway packaging is a real problem and he appealed to the public to do their bit to make sure this issue is addressed.
The report found the Bring Centre and the Town Hall environs - the latter was particularly freshly presented and maintained, with all elements in very good condition.
Paul says Cavan ranked number 8 out of 40 and he says while there is still a lot of work to do, the result is great.
He said another very postive find was that the approach roads into the town were well-free from litter.
