A local family run building company have been shortlisted for a national award.
McGuigan Builders, based in Clontibret, have been nominated in the Public Building up to €10 million category at the Irish Construction Excellence Awards.
The local company coordinated the restoration works at St Macartan's Cathedral in Monaghan Town, which saw major works carried out to the stonework, the tower, and the clock.

The landmark restoration of the iconic building was featured in RTE's nationwide recently.
