RTÉ representatives are to come before the Oireachtas later

TDs and Senators will grill senior RTÉ representatives later on undisclosed payments made to Ryan Tubridy.

The Oireachtas Media Committee will question the current chairperson of the RTÉ Board and the Interim Deputy Director General at the meeting.

RTÉ last night issued a statement saying former RTÉ director general Dee Forbes was the only member of the Executive Board who had all the information to know that Mr Tubridy's published earnings were wrong.

Dee Forbes says she is unable to attend today's committee meeting due to medical reasons.

Political Correspondent Sean Defoe says politicians are worried they won't get the answers they want to hear.
