A sepsis awareness support evening is being held in Cavan Town tomorrow evening.
North East Sepsis Awareness are hosting the event in the Hotel Kilmore from 7pm.
The evening will include guest speakers and shared experiences and support surrounding the infection.
The evening will also offer an opportunity to connect with others impacted by sepsis.
Three local women known as 'The Sepsis Warriors' have been initiating change and creating awareness around sepsis.
Hannah Tormey, Catriona Cahill and Sinead O'Reilly having been using their voices to make people aware of the real dangers of sepsis.
Hannah Tormey's daughter Sophie was 17 at the time when she was diagnosed with sepsis after she became critically ill after developing what she thought was a simple kidney infection.
The local woman is encouraging people to attend the event tomorrow evening.
