Seven confirmed dead after explosion at Donegal petrol station

Search and rescue teams have been working through the night.

Gardai say seven people are now confirmed to have died following an explosion at a petrol station in Creeslough in County Donegal.

Eight people have been taken to hospital.

A search and recovery operation is continuing at the scene with Gardai, Donegal Fire Services, the HSE National Ambulance Service and Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service.

Traffic diversions remain in place and Gardai are asking that any road users intending to travel to Creeslough, for any reason, consider alternative routes as Emergency Services continue to deal with the ongoing incident.
