Special Criminal Court satisfied with Kevin Lunney's account of being falsely imprisoned and assaulted

Judgements on whether the four men are guilty or not is expected this afternoon.

The Special Criminal Court says it is satisfied with Kevin Lunney's evidence of being falsely imprisoned and assaulted during an incident in Co Cavan two years ago.

The non-jury court is today outlining all of the evidence put to it during this summer' s trial.

Mr Justice Tony Hunt highlighted the court's satisfaction with Mr Lunney's account of the incident, this morning.

Meanwhile, 68 year old Luke O'Reilly, of Mullahoran Lower, Kilcogy, Co Cavan; 27 year old Darren Redmond Caledon Road, East Wall, Dublin 3; 40 year old Alan O'Brien Shelmalier Road, East Wall, Dublin 3 and a fourth accused man who can't be named have all pleaded not guilty to the charges against the QIH Director at Drumbrade, Ballinagh, Co Cavan on September 17, 2019.

Evidence summation continues and a verdict is expected this afternoon.
