Staff at Cavan and Monaghan Covid Vaccination Centres were recently commended for their efforts at a special appreciation event.
On Wednesday past, staff were presented with a certificate of appreciation to highlight their work to administer covid vaccines to the people of Cavan, Monaghan, and the surrounding counties.
116 staff at the Cavan Covid Vaccination Centre, located at the Hotel Kilmore, administered close to 85,000 first, second, and booster vaccinations.
Meanwhile, the Monaghan CVC operated at two locations, starting at the Hillgrove Hotel, before moving to the Glencarn Hotel.
During that time, 110 staff worked across the two centres to administer just over 64,000 first, second, and booster vaccines.
Dermot Monaghan, Chief Officer for the local Community Healthcare Area, said "we will never forget the Trojan work carried out by the staff of the Cavan and Monaghan CVCs".
