Staff in Shannonside Northern Sound are crossing their fingers this evening ahead of the Irish radio awards
The IMRO awards celebrate the best in Irish radio broadcasting and recognise those who have made outstanding contributions over the year.
Shannonside Northern Sound have secured 7 nominations through a range of categories, with the winners announced this evening in a special virtual ceremony.
Sports editor Dave Hooper along with Breakfast roll presenter Sean McCaffrey have been nominated in the Sports Broadcaster local/regional category at the
2021 IMRO radio awards.
Sheila Naughton has been nominated as speech broadcaster of the year and Shannonside FM's news 30 is nominated in the news programme category.
The Joe Finnegan Show is nominated for its show, 'death of hero, and Let's Talk is nominated for 'In the Line of Duty in the current affairs category.
The sports programme 'The COVID Cup 2020' is also nominated for an award.
