Students to represent Cavan and Monaghan at 'Junk Kouture' finals tonight

The top 10 designs from the Dublin City Final, will be selected by the Junk Kouture judging panel for the World Final.

A number of schools from Cavan and Monaghan will take part in the prestigious 'Junk Kouture' finals later today.

The event will be held at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in Dublin and will include talented young designers from local post-primary schools.

Students from Beech Hill College, Our Lady's Convent in Monaghan, Monaghan Collegiate, Bailieborough Community School and Castleblayney College, will take to the stage with designs made from 100% recycled materials, as they make their bid to be chosen for the first ever Junk Kouture World Final later this year.

In a new twist, the top 10 designs from the Dublin City Final, Powered by RTE will be selected by the Junk Kouture judging panel for the World Final where they will compete with 50 other designs from Abu Dhabi, London, Paris, Milan and New York City.

The event will take place at 7pm this evening, and is promised to be a night of creativity, performance and talent.
