Tributes have been coming in for the late Peter McMahon.
The Emyvale man passed away on Sunday peacefully at St. James Hospital, Dublin, surrounded by his heartbroken family after an illness bravely fought with courage and dignity.
Peter was the funeral director at McMahons funeral home in Emyvale.
Previously, he had been the proprietor of the Red Boys Bar on Main Street Emyvale.
Tributes have been flowing online, with many describing Peter as a "caring gentleman".
Others said that his "professionalism and empathy has helped and guided so many families through truly difficult times", and that he "carried out his role as undertaker with such dignity and compassion."
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family, brother, sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family, work colleagues and a wide circle of friends throughout the community and country.
