Tributes have been paid to local artist Pauline Halton, who passed away on Wednesday, March 24th.
She passed peacefully in her home in Lisduff, Co Cavan, in the care of her family.
In an online post, award-winning Director and Producer Patrick Farrelly praised the "great Cavan painter" as a "gentle soul and a trailblazing artist".

He added that her work is "full of her love of the rural community she grew up in", which "was her inspiration".
Mr Farrelly said Pauline will be a "huge loss to the creative community".
Her funeral took place this morning (March 25th) in St Mary's Church, Ballinarry.
