The US Embassy has warned the Government the Occupied Territories bill could have unintended consequences for Ireland's economy.
The embassy says the law risks affecting nearly a thousand American companies and hundreds of thousands of Irish jobs linked to them.
It says efforts to support Palestinians should focus on coordinated international action rather than what it calls 'symbolic measures'.
