'Covid vaccinations will be available across Cavan and Monaghan'

The HSE are continuing to offer COVID-19 vaccinations to eligible cohorts in Cavan Monaghan. Those aged 6 months to 4 years can receive their primary COVID-19 boosters. The vaccine is also available to those aged 12 years and over with those aged 12 to 16 years needing to be accompanied by a parent/guardian, at the below times and dates in Cavan Monaghan.

The first clinic will take place at Drumalee GAA Club House at St. Felim's Park, on Monday the 6th of March between 10am to 2pm (12+ yrs). Clinics will also take place at the same venue on Wednesday the 8th at 1pm to 3.30pm (12 + yrs) 4pm to 6pm (5-11 years) and again on Monday the 13th of March from 10am – 11.30am (6 months to 4 years)  and 12pm to 2pm (12+ yrs).

Elsewhere in Co Cavan, a pop up clinic will take place at the Old Court House Ballyjamesduff, on Friday 10th March from 10.30am to 3.30pm (12+ yrs). In Co Monaghan there will be a pop up clinic at the Peacelink Liseggerton, Clones, on Tuesday 7th March between 11am to 2pm for those aged 12 years and above.

The Carrickmacross Primary Care Unit, will also host a clinic on Saturday 11th March between 10am to 2.45pm (12+ yrs). And finally, a number of clinics will take place at the Cavan Monaghan Vaccination Hub at St. Davnet's Campus, in Monaghan, on Thursday the 9th March from 1pm to 3.30pm (12+ yrs) and from 4pm to 6pm (5-11 years).

Clinics will also take place at the same location on Tuesday the 14th March from 10am to 11.30am (6 months to 4 years) and 12pm to 2pm (12+ yrs). Thursday the 16th of March 10am to 2pm (12+ yrs).

Sinead McConnell, General Manager, COVID-19 Vaccination Programme HSE Community Healthcare Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Monaghan, Sligo said: “With many respiratory viruses circulating in the community we are advising people to avail of COVID-19 primary and booster vaccines at their earliest convenience. The HSE recently announced the inclusion of children aged 6 months to 4 years in the COVID-19 vaccination programme and we would ask all parents to consider vaccinating their children to prevent serious illness as a result of COVID-19.”
