Meanwhile, the Irish Road Victims Association says the government needs to show urgency on combating road deaths, as seven people were killed in crashes on Saturday, making it the deadliest day on our roads in almost a decade.

16-year-old Mia Lily Keogh O'Keeffe was killed while walking her dog in Navan, County Meath.

Three others were killed in crashes across Waterford and Galway.
