Winter Maintenance is ongoing with Monaghan County Council as the salt stock is currently being replenished following a prolonged cold spell in January. As of the 23rd of January 2024 there have been 23 callouts this maintenance season.
Monaghan County Council are planning to provide brine manufacturing and storage facilities in Knockaconny in 2024. Monaghan County Council has also taken possession of 3 new brine trucks supplied by the TII and it is envisaged that they will be deployed on the National Road Network in Q1 of 2024. The trucks are currently being branded with the Monaghan County Council logo.
