Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.

A woman aged in her 70s who died following a collision with a car has been named locally. Jenny Drew was pronounced dead at the scene after she was hit by a car on Saturday afternoon.

The incident involving a car and a bicycle took place at Tullyard close to Rossmore Golf Club at 1.20pm. The local woman who has been described as a "kind" and "beautiful lady" had been involved in 'Meals and Wheel's in Monaghan Town for a number of years and was an avid cyclist.

Gardaí are appealing to any road users or pedestrians who may have camera footage, and who were travelling on Cootehill Road between 12.30pm and 1.30pm on Saturday, to make this footage available to gardaí.
